Ten shorts from the US, Canada, Germany, Norway and the Netherlands. Highlights include Hope Thompson's tongue-in-cheek noir thriller Switch (Canada, 1999), and Weeki Wachee Girls (Kim Cummings, 1999), the story of two teenage best friends. Katie and Maura have always dreamed of joining the live mermaid show at Weeki Wachee Spring. It's the summer of 1979, they're fifteen, and everything is changing, especially when Katie discovers Maura's secret.

Premiering at the Sundance 2000 Film Festival, this tightly woven narrative features an accomplished cast of First Nations actors from across Canada. Within the walls of a women's prison, Johnny finds Lana, her lover and companion of spirit. Preceded by Below the Belt, an engrossing short film in which two 17-year old girls explore their budding relationship in and out of the boxing ring.

Includes appearances by well-known moms Betty DeGeneres and Judy Shepard. Program also includes Catherine Crouch's delightful comedy/drama, One Small Step. On the eve of the 1969 Apollo 11 moon walk, 8-year old Teen Miller's parents tell her she can be anything she wants. But what about marrying the dreamy girl next door?
